Writer and educator Susan Buck-Morss will discuss how ideas of empire and sovereignty are reflected in visual imagery. She is a professor at Cornell University and her most recent book is Hegel, Haiti and Universal History (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2008). Presented by the MFA Art Criticism and Writing Department.
