| Photography After Frank Book Party and Signing |

Photographer and former New York Times writer and picture editor Philip Gefter will be present for a book signing and party in celebration of his recently released book of essays Photography After Frank (Aperture, June 2009). The book traces the history of contemporary photography, beginning with a pivotal moment: photographer Robert Frank’s 1958 book The Americans, which documented life in America across the social spectrum. Co-presented by the BFA Photography Department and Aperture.
