SVA GOLD BOOK
SVA Gold: 47-97 (Fifty years Of Creative Graphic Design) In 1966, Silas Rhodes, founder of the School of Visual Arts wrote an article for Graphis in which he popularized the phrase "campus graphics." At that time, only a handful of educational institutions were concerned with the visual image they conveyed to the public. The article explained that campus graphics had finally come of age and achieved a frame of reference by which it could be judged. SVA has, throughout the past 50 years, been a pioneering leader in this field.

The book School of Visual Arts Gold: Fifty Years of Creative Graphic Design celebrates the school's 50th anniversary and its long term commitment and contribution to campus graphics.
